While I'm sorry the student got booted out, it's her fault, not the schools.
Anybody trying to get a legit degree in "counseling" or some other psych related field and who cannot accept homosexuality as being ok for some people has no more right to a degree than someone in a science (or surveying or geography) course who wants to insist that the world is flat.
News flash. As a counselor, you are *not* allowed to impose your religion's notions of right or wrong on a client.
