I spent 5 hours today shifting boxes and computers in an attempt to consolidate things so I'll have fewer storage lockers.

While I didn't get it done, I got the smallest one re-organized pretty well, and it's got the computers I'll be disposing off in various ways as I can (mostly they either need the drives pulled so I can save the old data until I can go thru it or they are "collectible" system I need to find homes for)

Got a load of old systems and stuff that went to Free Geek after I was done for the day at the storage place.

And the big locker has enough room cleared to let ,me move the middle sized one into it.

So next time I get to pull enough stuff out of the middle sized locker to get at the boxes of books that need to stack against the wall.

Fortunately, all the lockers are on the same floor and they have some nice carts I can use (as I did today) to "stage" things. Pull things out, stack on cart. Start another cart. When you get to the stuff you wanted to move, move it, then use the cart to shuffle stuff to whichever other locker you want that stuff to go in.

Those computers were *heavy*. Especially the Intel server box that was 3 foot long...

After unloading that, I discovered that I'd done something to a tendon on my left arm. Chrissy and I were meeting Stacy for dinner and as I walked into the restaurant, I noticed two things. First off that my forearm was sore (along the "inside". Second, that my index finger finger had drawn up almost too my palm without my doing it. Straightening it was doable put painful. I got my hand flat on the table and after a few minutes it quit complaining. But that was definitely weird.

Once I get the middle sized locker emptied, I can deal with the computer stuff in the small one. Though I'm going to be putting out feelers for the folks that are into the old "collectible" stuff. Don't expect to make any money, but if I can keep rare machines from getting scrapped, that'll be good.

But for now, I shall deal with my aching body...
