You might want to do just a *bit* of upgrading of your item tracking system.

I was woken up an hour ago for the delivery of a package. It was one of three I ordered on the same day. I just checked the tracking numbers on the other two, and they show as "on truck, awaiting delivery".

If your tracking system was half as smart as it's supposed to be, it'd have noticed you had three packages for the same address and put them all on the same truck.

ps. I rolled out of bed, pulled on my pants and I had to almost chase the driver. What do I have to do to get your drivers to realize that it can take several minutes for people to get to the door in an apartment building that has several stories?

Someone else's post reminded me that I should make a statement...

Please, no e-cards. Even the "legit" sites act as address harvesters for spamming you. And the others are apt to infect you. So all e-cards are deleted unread.

One of the packages is *still* out on the truck. The other is *back* at their facility. With a note on the tracking info saying "not scheduled for delivery"!!!

I called about that (and trying to find their phone number is a major exercise in annoyance). And the rep I finally got connected to didn't seem to get the concept that since they'd delivered one package from the same place, shipped at the same time *today*, there was no way I was going to be able to trust her "Oh, it'll be delivered on Wednesday" assurances.

So in short, to avoid missing the package I'm stuck at home tomorrow and Wednesday. After all, given that they delivered one of them today, I can't believe any assurances that they *won't* try to deliver tomorrow.

Needless to say, I am *not* a happy camper.

And the one that's still on the truck means I can't go to the store yet to get stuff I need...

*This* is service?

This wouldn't be nearly as bad if I wasn't worried that they'd just leave several hundred bucks worth of parts for a system I'm rebuilding for someone just sitting outside.

Y'see, those packages I've been complaining about? they're parts for a couple of computers I'm upgrading for a friend (and getting paid for labor on).

Well, I've now got the 2 DIMMs that were delivered this morning (one system will be getting three, the other will be getting 1, plus the DIMM that's currently in the first system.) So I still need the second package of DIMMs so as to avoid opening the box extra times.

But I did get the package with the replacement CPUs for the systems. Only it would appear that since both CPUs were in a single box, the shipping clerk *assumed* that he only needed to pack one *fan*. <sigh>

Email has been sent informing vendor of this goof.

And the check for the parts I can purchase locally arrived. But I still need that other shipment of DIMMs to be able to do either system. Grr.
