Remember Jocelyn Elders? She was the Surgeon General who had the temerity to suggest that to stop sexually transmitted diseases, people should not only use condoms, but ... dearest God ... masturbate to revive the pressure!

Well, you would think that anyone, even the Commander-in-Chimp we have now, would be careful in choosing who would be the new top doc.
Well say hello to Dr. James Holsinger.
Dr. ... and I guess one should use that term loosely ... is this lack-of-adminstration's nominee for the SG's job. And if you think telling kids to he-and-she-bop was something, get a load of this guy.
For one thing, wrote a piece for the United Methodist Church's Committee to Study Homosexuality. In it, her wrote the following (assuming this is not a forgery...)
This alone would make the confirmation hearings must-see-CSPAN.

Dr. Holsinger and his wife were founders of Hope Springs Community Church which, according to the church's pastor, ministers to people who no longer wish to be gay or lesbian. The pastor, Rev. David Calhoun, said that the church has an "ex-gay" ministry. "We see that as an issue not of orientation but a lifestyle," Calhoun said. "We have people who seek to walk out of that lifestyle." So-called "ex gay" conversion therapy has been condemned by almost every major, reputable medical organization, including the American Psychological Association, which issued a condemnation over ten years ago.

The belief that homosexuality can be cured is a thorny one at best, considering the ... mmmm, let's say ... high failure rate of the "treatment." And to have this snake-oil part of American policy is pretty nauseating.

The Xian loonytunes who are controlling the White House, the GOP, and certain media sources have as their goal the complete un-secularization of the USA. For them, The War in the Middle East and the War on Terror, though integral parts of the plan, are smoke screens for the real plot: to remake America and the world in to their own, sick, warped image that takes the true meaning of the Word of God and bastardizes it for their own purposes.
And what is so upchuck-inducing about this, is that this crumb should be criticized from pillar-to-post. Yes, outside of an understandably pissed-off gay press, no none, not the MSM, not the TruthOut/AirAmerica faction, no one is giving the fact that this clown is about to hand down health decisions for millions of Americans the time of day.
Which is, of course, exactly how they want it.

So, she eases it over onto the shoulder of the road.
She carefully steps out of the car and opens the trunk. She then takes out two cardboard men, unfolds them and stands them at the rear of the vehicle facing oncoming traffic. The lifelike cardboard men are in trench coats exposing their nude bodies to approaching drivers... Not surprisingly, the traffic became snarled and backed up. It wasn't very long before a police car arrives.
The Officer, clearly enraged, approaches the blonde of the disabled vehicle yelling, "What is going on here?"
"My car broke down, Officer" says the woman, calmly.
"Well, what the hell are these obscene cardboard pictures doing here by the road?!" asks the Officer...
"Helllllooooo, those are my emergency flashers!" she replies.
