SCA Skippy's List *Filk*!!!
Apr. 24th, 2007 09:46 am(From the Antir Mailing list)
I have been paying close attention to the Skippy list and I thought it
should be put to further use, but what song to filk it to... it then
occurred to me that there really is only one appropiate song to use.
An Tir Boys
A filk by "Marcos" de Foronda
To the traditional tune of "Bedlam Boys"
I used duct taped upon my cup
And flesh so I could battle
My screams when I took it off
Made all the dishes rattle
Chorus:
Still I sing bonny boys,
Bonny mad boys,
An Tir boys are bonny
For they have no cares,
And they act on a dare
And they all act oh so funny.
I went through the camps at night
For to find me a good party
And there I got a puppet show
>From a lantern shining smartly
Chorus:
While fighting at the castle door
Upon it I rapped quite loudly
"Candygram" was what I said
With "land shark" following proudly
Chorus:
I filled the propane lantern up
A puddle forming under
So when I had the lantern lit
We heard the sound of thunder
Chorus:
To help a lady cross the mud
Over shoulder did I sling her
Then running with her perched on high
"On to Dunkirk!" was I singing
Chorus:
While fighting against the shield wall
"Ten Little Indians" was I singing
And one by one in perfect time
They fell with helmets ringing
Chorus:
While drunk the eve before the war
My Knight's armor did I borrow
I insulted all the enemy force
Much to my good Knight's sorrow
Chorus:
With wet wood for the campfire
To light it they were asking
Brake fluid and a road flare worked
But eyebrows now I'm lacking
Chorus:
With marshmallow crossbow
And a court that I found boring
I shot the jester many times
To keep that fool from snoring
Chorus:
"Father" Marcos de Foroda
Fanatical Former of Fantastical Filks
