Well, that was fun...
Oct. 21st, 2004 07:59 amAt approximately 6pm Wednesday night I crashed out after having been up since 8pm Tuesday. During that 22 hour stretch, virtually the only activity here at Lin & Kermit's was me reading them "chapters" from the Tuck Saga
We finished #45. That means that in the last few days, I have read ALOUD almost 2 meg of text.
Oddly enough the reason I stopped where I did wasn't a scratchy throat, or fatigue. It was because the edges of my tongue had rubbed raw on my back teeth!
I'll note that reading a story with this much humopr (and this much pathos) can be a real challenge. Trying to keep from rolling the floor at some of the offbeat silliness is hard. Trying to read when the situation has you in tears is even harder.
But it's worth it. We were each spotting references (and bad puns) the others missed.
