Question...
Oct. 21st, 2003 04:46 pmAfter reading some stuff in other people's journals I'm thinking about maybe doing some posts about some of the stuff I went thru growing up.
I'm not sure if it should be cut tagged or put behind a filter. It'd *definitely* be friends only!
Any preference from the few of you who read me now?
ps. For the new folks, I've got a filter for "kink" related posts, as well as one for my fiction, which while erotic, tends to go into places that might make a lot of folks uncomfortable.

Oct. 21st, 2003 05:53 pmThis *sucks*.
The Florida legislature and Governor have denied a Florida woman the right to die. Her husband, in accordance with her wishes before hand, had asked doctors to remove a feeding tube. Her parents had blocked this. It'd gone all the way to the Supreme Court who decline to hear the case.
So the Governor asked the legislature to pass a bill giving him the authority to order the tube replaced.
I hope to hell that *this* DOES get to the Supreme Court and the legislature and governor get slapped down.

About that mess in Florida..
Oct. 21st, 2003 07:16 pmOk, it appears that the media coverage we got here gave a different impression than what the folks closer to the problem heard.
From what I saw, the husband was saying the wife had said she didn't want to live if she wound up "like that". While the parents were saying that the daughter was responsive.
I thought I'd heard something about the doctors thinking there wasn't any hope.
Given how often even *written" instructions seem to get ignored, I drew my own conclusions.
