I'm tired..... ZZZZZZ

Last night I was up reading a bit longer than I should have been. But that'd have been ok if the idiot neighbor from hell hadn't burned food again. And then "forgotten" and opened the door to her apartment so the smoke got out into the hall and set off the *building* fire alarm. :-(

This woke me up an hour before I'd expected to be getting up.

On the bright side, this meant I was awake and realized that Lin *hadn't* called me like she was supposed to. So I called her. My timing was good. She was free and she confirmed that we were "on" for our plans.

So I threw my stuff together and hopped on the bus for our "adventure".

An hour later we were together with her mobility trainer. And I spent the next hour following her and videotaping her as she walked around, caught buses, climbed stairs, etc.

This had my right forearm up against my shoulder as I held the camera. After a while this *hurts*. But we got some ok footage. Including a few minutes of heavy rain (heavier than some showers I've used) while we waited under an overhang for the rain to end or a bus to appear.

The tape, once we add some other activities, will get sent to a guide dog school to help them evaluate Lin's mobility skills.

After this I had to walk a dozen or two blocks to see about picking up some computer parts (the wholesaler was closed) and then walk from there to catch a bus (and make two transfers) to go get my prescription filled. After that, I was so zonked, I called a cab to get home.

Which is where I am now. I have to return a few calls and see if I'm going to have to lie down for a bit.

One of the calls was from Lin. She had a doctor's appointment. And apparently the verdict is that she'll need surgery on her finger. Ick.
