Orycon report
Nov. 26th, 2002 07:00 pmWell, I'm mostly recovered from the con, so I'd better write this up before I forget things.
I didn't get to many panels this year, though I did get to one of gridlore's.
Ran into a few friends I only see at cons. And a couple of them got to see Brooke for the first time.
I spent *way* too much in the dealers room and a fair bit in the art show.
One print I bought (turns out to be the cover painting for "Cats in Cyberspace") resulted in several of my friends trying to talk me out of it.
Megan tried an interesting tack. She said she'd ask Brooke later "..because Brooke likes me better" <g> (Brooke still said "no".)
I dropped by the Cereal & Cartoons Saturday, but after I'd eaten breakfast. turns out I could have eaten there as they *did* have one cereal (a Cheerios clone) that *wasn't* loaded with sugar.
I got a few things for friends too. I got a copy of "Sepent's Shadow" by Mercedes Lackey, and a Kathy Mar CD for Lin.
Kathy was upset because I'd bought the only 5x T-shirts that she was interested in from Friends of Filk. Sunday I let her pick which one she liked best and buy it from me.
At the Sue Petrie Fund auction, Kathy got outbid on some goblets. So I outbid that person. She hasn't figured out that I'm going to give them to her for Christmas, though Megan did (and hasn't told her).
