Stuff and nonsense
Apr. 30th, 2002 12:38 amI went to my first Diabetes Education class today.
In the process I got all the exercise I needed for today, because when I transferred, they'd changed the "temporary" bus stop by scrawling "closed" on the sign. It the same color as the existing scribbles. So I got passed by the bus and had to walk a mile or so fast.
Oh yeah, when they sent me some stuff last week, they included a video tape. Pity I don't have a VCR. Anybody whose place I can visit to see it is at least an hour away by bus.
Anyway, the class went ok, and I found out that my friend Lin can attend it with me as a "support person". So next week and for the remaing 3 sessions she'll be with me.
She's been a great help since she's been diabetic (Type 2, like me) for years.
I also got a bit of good news when the instructor passed out copies of our most recent blood glucose tests to us. My most recent had been last Wednesday, and I hadn't heard the results yet.
It was a "random" (ie "non-fasting") test. And it was 120. Which is pretty darn good all things considered. If I wasn't a diagnosed diabetic, that'd be only a bit suspicious (I;d be classed as "insulin impaired")
Now if I can just lose some weight and get in more exercise.
Oh yeah, and manage to get enough money to keep going. :-(

I think this is mainly because of the questions use of "frequently". I've never had sex frequently. :-(
