Apollo 11 launched 35 years ago today.

I'm afraid to think about how few of the folks reading this were alive then, much less were old enough to remember it.

Where's the moon base, the Manned Mars missions, the manned mission to other planets. :-(

I remember watching the landings on TV, then running back out to gaze up at the moon. *sigh* I was just sure I'd be going someday.

In Nixon's trash bucket. I'm really angry at how our space program has been handled...I really wanted to go into space at lesat once as a passanger before I died. I just don't think that's a possibility anymore.

(Not that it was a possibility AFTER I'd been born... :P )

I saw the Moon Landing on TV. The next day it was my birthday, so I've always considered it an early birthday present.

There are ways to go to space without government. Just forget about the moon and go to Mars. Cheaper, survivable, and worth it.
