I run a mailing list for a local SCA branch.

Today someone forwarded a message from another list to "my" list. And shortly thereafter I got a notice that it'd been bounced by one subscriber's address (he uses a work address for his email.

Why?

Because the message was about registration for the 30th of a series of events. Specifically "Egil's XXX"...

Yep "XXX" triggered the spam filter...

Roman numeral 30 is now a hazard to your email... <sigh>

Not just spam filters; I remember reading a few years ago that sports sites were being blocked by several different Internet filters because of "Superbowl XXX".
