Cans of soup make for useful bases to make stews or gravy for pies. Add meat, herbs etc and make a chicken pot pie maybe? That's one can used at least.
Cans of what I call "Cream of Something" soup are a staple in my pantry. Combine it with frozen veggies and cooked chicken and 1/2 a can of milk and you have a filling for a pot pie or a cottage pie (topped with mashed potatoes.) Or pour it over biscuits.
It also makes a lovely thickener for chicken and noodles. I use frozen noodles for that.
