What to do with a ham hock

kengrGot a ham hock in the food box. Trying to figure out what to do with it. Probably use the crock pot. Just trying to figure out what to cook with it.
I've got *way* too many dried pinto beans, also some garbaqnzos, and a couple other kinds.
Or maybe something else. Suggestions?
