One line changes everything..

Ever been reading a story, and encounter one line that makes a major shift in your understanding of the world the story was set in?

I was reading one of Somtow Sucharitkul's stories set in his "Inquestors" universe.

The line?

"Pater nostre, qui es in inferno"

Which translates to "Our father, who art in hell"

That line was back in the 80s or 90s.One of Somtow Sucharitkil's stories set in his Inquestor series.

Currently I'm at various places in a couple dozen books.

I remember that line from reading the story in Isaac Asimov’s Science Fiction Magazine decades ago.
