Not so harmless

Came up with a weird idea while half awake.

Gypsy style wagon. Drawn by flamingos.

Ok, weird, maybe some nice local color. Then I remembered that pic of a T-Rex skeleton covered in lawn flamingos (caption: A flock of flamingos can strip a T-Rex to the bone in 90 seconds)

Suddenly that wagon isn't silly...

Hmm.. Maybe the wagon is home to a Wizard or Witch... from Miami?

Dunno, but it occurs to me that the sort of flamingos that could take down a T Rex fit a biological "rule" that the real ones don't.

That bright pink color is a warning.

ps. if you hear the strains of the Smuggler's Blues coming from the wagon, you might be right. :-)

Not from Miami, from Louisiana... there's a lot of voudoun going on back there in the swamps, and Cajun music can make a scarecrow jump off his pole and dance.

True that! Just that the pink lawn flamingo was once described as Florida's state bird, you know...

And the mosquito is New Jersey's state bird.

I thought that was the state bird for Louisiana? And the pigeon was New Jersey's...

New Jersey is entirely overwhelmed by mosquitoes in the summer, especially near the area called the Meadowlands, which was once known as "The Great New Jersey Swamp", and eventually became a garbage dump. Now it's the site of a sportsball stadium and a a vast shopping mall.

The pigeon is, of course, the Official Bird of New York City.

That makes sense... and I'd heard of the Great new Jersey Swap, but I thought it was mythical or apocapal. I did not know it was an actual real thing.

Now.. the Jersey swap monster...

The Great New jersey Swamp did exist. There's no Swamp Monster, but there's the Jersey Devil down in the Pine Barrens.

Alaska is the own with the tale of a guy being carried off by a couple of mosquitos and hears one say to the other "Should we eat him hear or take him back to the swamp?"

To which the other replies "Here. If we take him back to the swamp the big mosquitos will take him away from us."
