Ugh "maintenance"

Finally got around to cleaning the filters in my air conditioner. The manual just say that you remove the access panels and wash in warm water with neutral detergent.

No diagrams.

I was afraid I was gonna break the access panels before I discovered that they'd put some *tape* that blended in almost perfectly along the seams.

Once I got that removed, the filters came out fairly easily. Though the ones on the side tended to snag a bit as the slid out of their slots.

Since they are just a fine plastic screen on a plastic frame this is *not* good.

But I got them washed and dried and back in place. Now if I need to run it, it should perform better (there was a fair bit of dust on the filters)


Next fun task will be aty the end of the season when I once again try to figure out how to get the drain plug put for the water tank (since I've had no luck in the past, I just don't use the dehumidifier function).

Once again, no diagrams. Nor any mention of what to do with the plastic hose that looks like it'd attach to the fitting (the *only* diagram is how the put together the exhaust hose assembly and install it in the window. *sigh*

Still it works fairly well, and wasn't hugely expensive.

Wish I could afford a second one. Then I could put it in the bedroom (which is mostly used for storage, long story) and not have to seal it off when running the air conditioner.

Try searching youtube with the model number of the unit and what you wnat to do [replace filters, drain water tank etc] There are almost bound to be videos showing you how to do it.
