These are the American ones.
1 gallon = 2 pottles
1 pottle = 2 quarts
1 quart = 2 pints
1 pint = 2 cups
1 cup = 2 gills
1 gill = 2 jacks
1 jack = 2 fluid ounces
1 fluid ounce = 2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon = 3 teaspoons

And the legal definition of a gallon is 231 cubic inches.
The legal definition of an inch is 2.54 centimeters, so with the above you have all the info required to convert kitchen measurements to metric.

But it's usually simpler to just treat a quart as a liter. :-)
