A running gag with the gaming group I'm in is that I've seen a limited number of cultural touchpoint movies. And almost no TV shows since the turn of the century.
For example, it was only last night I watched Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome for the first time. _Now_ I get the MasterBlaster references one guy was making.

I admit, I love the reactions I get when I tell people I've not seen Firefly...
