Well, if you read the comments over in dark_christian you'll find that if they do this, in a few years, there'll be a *huge* uproar when the students they "graduate" discover that their diplomas will *not* be recognized by the University of California schools.

And given that a bunch of other universities are looking at instituting similar restrictions on what they'll accept as valid science courses in high school, the backlash should be *really* interesting.
