Aww. As above, it sounds like part of an allergic reaction, what with the swelling. Especially if you tried to open them before scrubbing that area. With zits and such, it's best to leave it closed and wash it with the gentlest care, and not scrub.

I remember, years ago, I had a bad one on my face. I poked at it, scrubbed it clean, and what's worse, put acne cover-up makeup on it. It swelled up something BAD, because I was... allergic to the makeup as well as the soap. LOL A lesson learned for me. Zits may not be gentle, but they expect to be treated that way.
