I had an odd set of dreams last night. They shifted from one thing to another as dreams do.
It's the last couple of sequences that were unusual. I'll skip a lot of irrelevant details, but I was a disembodied observer watching a woman and her young son trying to escape from somewhere by sneaking thru irrigation channels. At one point a would be attacker is dissuaded when the boy starts fighting (ineffectually) and crying out "you leave my mother alone". He's given a doll by the man and they are let go.
Later, it has shifted a bit. It's now the boy and his *sister* escaping. and I'm the sister. I'm in my teens and he's preteen (but older than in the earlier bit). I didn't especially notice anything female about me, except for *knowing* that *I* was his sister.
Odd. I can't recall ever being female in a dream before. Though now that I think about it there was an earlier sequence in the same set of dreams where I was either a female or at least she was the character I was "following" (not sure if I was a disembodied viewpoint in that part or not).
