although failure to remove an air conditioner from a window in the wintertime is not really very likely to get you evicted - more likely, they'll either just say "well, take it down now", or possibly even "it's so close to spring, you might as well just leave it, this year". every municipality's laws are different, but there are limits to what they can evict you for.)
Section 8 housing. The limits are a lot broader and "failure to comply with rules" is one of them. Consider that one of the other restrictions that used to be in effect was "no alcohol on premises". And it was an eviction offense.
