attention
Aug. 4th, 2007 06:12 pmLJ is at it again
Aug. 4th, 2007 07:35 pmFor the benefit of my friends who don't follow communities such as
innocence_jihad and
whydoesljcensor
LJ has deleted at least two more accounts and one of them was most likely deleted because of a drawing of Harry Potter and Severus Snape in bed together. The Harry in the image may or may not be over 18.
The user was not told why their account was deleted but was told that they would not be allowed to open another account.
And LJ has made a "minor", unnanounced change in the way deleted accounts display. They no longer show up *at all* on your Flist. If you post a link to them, instead of being a normal LJ user link with the textstruck out, they show up as bold text and are not a link.
The *only* remotely plausible reason for this change is to make it harder to spot suspended and deleted accounts. To make such actions by LJ stealthier.
I find this despicable.
LJ has flat out *lied* about giving us clear statements of what is and isn't acceptable. Lied about contacting people before suspensions. And they are trying to make it harder to spot deletions of accounts.
ETA: here is a link to the GJ account the user has started and the post contains a link to the image
