ataniell93 made a comment that I think bears repeating.
I am very frustrated with people who don't understand that if they are not being told the truth on a consistent basis, it might be because the person who isn't telling them the truth doesn't trust them. I mean, yes, on an absolute scale of things lying is not a good thing to do. But you can't be completely honest with someone who hasn't got your best interests at heart, especially if they are convinced that they doShe was referring to someone's parents.
Oddly enough *my* experiences with that sort of thing were with my mother. Parents seem exceptionally susceptible to this, but it's far from limited to them. But I've seen it with bosses as well.
Wish they taught stuff like this in school...
