I ordered a bunch of accessories for my laptop last week. Most from Toshiba and a couple they don't list anymore from another vendor.
Toshiba sent me emails letting me know that two parts had shipped. Checking the UPS site I found that one was due today, the other on Monday. Ok, fine.
So the doorbell rings at 8am. It's Fed-Ex with part of the order from the *other* vendor. Note that I'd gone to bed at about 6am. <groan>
I opened it and checked it out, then tried going back to bed. Gave up shortly after. I'm *still* waiting for the UPS delivery...
What did I get? A "secondary battery" for the laptop. Goes into the bay for the removable drive. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it in two pieces. A battery and an adapter for the bay.
This is good because the battery is the same battery that my *old* laptop uses!
This means I can use the old external charger, as well as the 6 batteries I already have for the old laptop.
Ah. The UPS delivery...
Well, I now have the charger "for" the laptop. It'll charge the primary battery, which is a different type than the secondary one the Fed-Ex guy delivered. And it'll also charge the secondary. *In the adapter*!!
And the charger is *bigger* than the laptop!!!
Oy! What idiot designed this thing? Not only is it overly large, some fool (or a kid) could plug a *drive* into that slot on the charger.
Guess I'll be hitting ebay for another of the chargers like the one for the old laptop. Because I'll be loaning that to someone and they may need the charger for it.
