Weird CD

A few months back I found a CD (no case or anything) at a bus stop. Looked a bit scratched but playable. Purely instrumental, but short. I tossed it in a spare paper CD envelope and stuck it with the other CDs of odd software and the like I've accumulated.

Well, tonight I took another look and finally held it at the angle that let me read the logo. It turns out to be this.

Video CDs?

I remember someone on my friends list talking about them a while back. I want to check and see if my new DVD player will play them. But I don't have any. If anyone has an image file of one I could use to burn a test CD I'd appreciate it.

Weather or not....

I just got the software running for the first crude "weather page" for my new weather station.

It updates every five minutes. But I think the pressure and indoor temp readings are currently hosed.

Rainfall and wind data will have to wait until I can figure a way to mount the sensors without getting in trouble with apartment management :-)
