I got curious about those "warning signs" some folks have been putting up. Because the giant letter in the middle seemed odd. Then someone made a comment. So I looked at the source code for the signs. And found that they were using the "webdings" font.

More searching revealed that the font *is* installed on my computer, but neither Mozilla nor Firefox will display it.

But IE will.

Any ideas as to *why*? I've checked the settings and short of trying to stick it into one of the "custom font" slots in Mozilla (which seems stupid) I can't see any setting that I could change.

So anybody know what's going on?
