Names

I don't mind my given name (Leonard). I dislike folks who insist on shortening it.

I am not "Leo" or "Len". And as for "Lenny"... GRRRRRR!

And then there are the folks with the "Leonardo da Vinci" jokes, or references to "Leonard Skinnard"( however that's spelled).

And lets not go into my middle name. I loathe it.

Many of my friends are as apt to call me Shadow as Leonard. It started out as a BBS handle, and turned into a handy name for many things.

Oddly, though Brooke started out as a joke, I kind of like it. Though it does have a property similar to "Leonard" I have run into a few folks who insist on "Brooke Shields" jokes. They think they are witty. They are half right.

Well, I'm impressed.

Those old school daze

I find that it's been too long since I was in Junior High and High School. I can't remember how the class periods and lunch were arranged at any of the schools I went to. 20+ years of it not mattering will do the to you. :-)

So, if anybody with more recent experience, or who knows someone in HS or junior high would post giving start time (i.e. when you have to be in home room), and how long periods are and how lunch or lunches (for places with multiple shifts for lunch) fit into the periods, would reply to this with the details, I'd appreciate it.
