head coverings

What with my forehead having reached most of the way to the back of my head, I need to look into head coverings. I've banged my head on some things indoors and without the hair as padding, it's way too easy to damage my scalp.

Hats mostly work outdoors, but I need something for indoors. I also need something for my bicycle helmet to keep my scalp from getting sunburned through the holes.

One thing I've thought is a sort of cloth cap that ties in the back. It looks like you've tied a bandanna into a sort of head scarf, but they aren't.I've seen them in truck stops, but don't know what they are called.

They seem popular with bikers.

Anybody know what I'm talking about?

Doo rag is a phrase I know.

Try also biker skull cap, tieback hat, tie back cap.

I've been trying to find modesty head coverings for long hair and sensory issues. I'm used to using a hair tie and going.

Now it's: mask, glasses, and cap.

Oh thank you, all of those help. And not only did I find several possibilities, I also found some that you can soak to keep cool for extended periods. Those will be great for biking.

Yes, I grab soaker versions when I see them too. Hmm, I should check the summer heat supplies, I probably packed them last October. I have a congenital heart condition and overheating is a major problem for me.
