Well, the texture of the cooked seeds is kinda odd. The seed is surrounded by a layer of clear gel that's a fair bit larger than the seed.

If the seed is one "unit" in diameter, the seed+gel sphere is 4 or 5 units.

Hmm. Just had another thought. Wonder if there's a way to strip the "skin" of pomegranate seeds and leave the pulp intact?

That'd give you larger "spawn" but with a red-purple color.
