Date: 2017-06-20 02:10 pm (UTC)I mean I was *dripping* wet. And my heart was pounding.
It helps that I have the right sort of tools as well. That pulse oximeter I got because I wanted to check if some bouts of tiredness were due to low O2 sat. (They weren't) But it is handy for checking my heart rate quickly.
The glucometer is, of course, rather necessary anyway, but still...
It also helps that I have several "bad examples" to inform me. Like the friend who died because he didn't take proper care of *his* diabetes.
And the other friend who died during a hypoglycemic episode because she managed to pull a large CRT TV over on herself.
So I try to pay attention. I do break the rules sometimes, but I try to *know* when I'm doing it.
