Someone has learned the lesson taught by Pastor Martin Niemöller:

Also, in anticipation of the inevitable response in defense of the TSA's draconian tactics:

I was thinking the same thing myself, but couldn't remember enough about it to quote it or refer to it.

When I first heard of the Milgram experiments, I couldn't believe it. Even then, I thought a lot of ill about humans, but I couldn't believe people would be that fucking stupid. But since then, I've come to realize that most people are mindless sheep.

Though I do wonder if the experiment is flawed... maybe they have such a high compliance rate because people don't think it's real. Like, "It's an experiment, not real life. No matter what my senses tell me, this person isn't really in any danger."

I wonder if Mother Nature has realized that humans have this "obey no matter what" flaw and that is why she's giving us Aspies, indigo children, and crystal children... all new mutants whose response to authority is generally "And why should I do that?"

Heh. As someone with mild Asperger's I've been a rebel all my life without meaning to be.

Or attempt to do so, anyway.
