Staples (food)
Just noodling about what I'd get if I could...
20-25 lb bag of dried beans
20-25 lb bag of rice (not the converted stuff I made the mistake of getting last time
(no idea of weights on the following, but I know about what I want by volume)
a gallon or so of oatmeal
half pint of gran garlic (think coarse garlic powder)
quart of dried onion flakes
quart or so of beef soup base
pint or so of chicken soup base
quart or two of lentils
Several flats of ramen or equivalent in various flavors.
If I knew someplace that carried the stuff in bulk, various flavors of chunk and flake TVP.
Those are about all I can think of for the long term storables.

That place is somewhere you can "shop" for free clothes. It's open from Monday thru Wednesday 10 AM to 2 PM, with check in by 1:30. Clothes are free, and you can go up to twice a month. All you need is your ID. I've been planning on going, but haven't had the time yet.
