Watching the scFi channel's "War of the Worlds". Nice to see that they realized three-legged walkers are unstable and way too easy too take out. Six legs works.

But having done that, what *idiot* decided that the legs should be *pointed*. Those legs should be sinking *feet* into the ground. And at least inches into concrete and blacktop.

This is not rocket science folks.

(1) Tripods look cool.

(2) Godzilla should be sinking through rock, assuming he could stand at all. But that wouldn't look cool. So he doesn't. The same holds for Martian War Machines.
