Not clear on the concept..

I've been lisening to a local station doing a "36 hours of Christmas music.

And every so often they ammounce this:

Station xxxx' 36 hour broadcast of commercial free Christmas music, made possible in part by[local business]

Like I said, not clear on the concept... :-)

To thank a sponsor is not the same as advertising. The business did not get to write or approve an advertisement. They were simply mentioned.

PBS has been doing this for decades.
