Dealing with hypocrisy
After reading an article
griffen linked to (about anti-abortion types getting abortions), and recalling cases of anti-gun folks caught owning illegal guns, etc I have a "modest proposal".
Publicly coming out against (or for) something should be legally considered a release from libel & slander laws as well as medical privacy if you are *privately* engaging in behavior that is counter to your public position.
Yeah, I know it wouldn't fly, but just *thinking* about the effects of folks having to live up to their public pronouncements instead of being able to get away with "oh, but *my* case is *special*" is rather pleasant.

It's that sort of thing that led to Prohibition, and continues to support the "War on
RightsDrugs"
