silly (?) idea

A "badge" that has a swinging needle meter (or a bar graph LED) labeled "SPOONS".

Either have a hidden knob to adjust the reading, or mauybe find a sensor that semi-reliably tracks your spoon level.

ETA
One labeled "STRESS" would be good too. and likely easy to rig a sensor for. :-)

IIRC electrical conductivity of the skin is a pretty good indication of stress. That would be an easy thing to measure, and there are a number of kits for making wearable electronics.

Not sure about measuring SPOONS... blood glucose levels maybe? Probably have to track several biometrics, and compile them. Fortunately, people make wearable microprocessors now, like adafruit.

Oh yeah.. a little heat sensor 'down there' woven into undergarments would do that quite well.

Not sure how that relates to spoons... except in an inverse correlation perhaps.

Oh... well you can get thermochromic 'mood' clothing now, or even spray on coatings for fabrics. That would serve the same purpose.

I remember ThinkGeek also used to sell a tiny necklace with an 'ON' symbol that lit up and pulsed in time to your heart beat.

Come to think of it, with a wifi connection, you can have something similar, except that it pulses in time to your Significant Other's heart beat. Which would be romantic, or possibly grounds for divorce if they get caught with an unexplained racing heart rate... or even tragic if it stops.
