Any system will become more chaotic the more energy you add to it. That explains the tornadoes over the Deep South, the nor'easter that's about to attack the Northeast (I need to go put on my sou'wester!), the wildfires in California and Texas, and the rather alarmist forecasts on YouTube from Ryan Hall,'y;all (he's a TV weatherman who took to doing it on YouTube).
Look for a book called Thinking in Systems, by Donella H. Meadows. TOo much math for me, but the pictures usually did make sense.
