song...

For years I've occasionally had a tune running thru my head in dreams.

Months back,it gained some words. Certain parts are still unclear (ie I can't be sure of the exact words I heard).

Ninety1 days without water
Ninety1 days without rain2
We all feel the weight of the wheel
None of the rest remain.

1 the word *definitely* ended with "tee" (or perhaps "teen". And was definitety two syllables. But it could be 30, 60, 13, etc

2 probably "rain", but might have been pain

Anyway, it was a bit slow and "solemn" sounding. Not as far as a dirge, but tending that way.

Got a lot in January, then the spigot dried up almost completely. Not sure we've had more than a few hundredths since then. Get to late April, and we'll be there.

Of course, climate being what it is, that's when things customarily dry up for the summer, with no more rain until used to be late October, these days November or even December, when the rainy season kicks up again.
