Depends on the size (weight) of the coins. Look up what a krugerrand is worth. Those are one troy ounce of gold.

Check the size info.
A quyick check shows that today they are only worth a bit over $1400 each. Six months ago they were over $1700.
So several thousand of those would be several million dollars.
