Determining the Linguistic Connotations of Decision-Making, Phase C1
UCR Survey HS11-143

The purpose of this research study is to determine what kinds of descriptive words people think seem to "go with" certain kinds of decisions people make. You are being asked to participate because you share demographic traits with the population of interest for a larger, later study that will be based on these results. You must be at least 18 years of age and an American citizen to participate in this study.

The study will be conducted online at surveymonkey.com. You will be asked to describe three situations that you have been in based on characteristics that will be provided to you. This study will last for 30-45 minutes.

This study involves no more than minimal risk, and participation is completely voluntary. You can withdraw at any time.

Your data will be stored securely and not shared with anyone except the research team. Your decision about participation will be kept confidential, and any concerns about privacy or other issues with consent will be shared with you. If you have any questions you can contact me, Adam Sanford, at asanf001@ucr.edu, or my faculty advisor, Dr. Hanneman, at robert.hanneman@ucr.edu. You can also contact the Office of Research Integrity at 951-827-4811 or by email at irb@ucr.edu.

To take the survey, go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LingConnC1. Thank you for your participation!
