Patrick Stewart as a *flaming* gay interior designer.... *fans self*

The other day someone posted a link to a clip from the move Jeffrey. And after seeing Stewart in that I had to see the movie Tracked down a copy and... oh dear.

The only thing "worse" would be if you could get him and Robin Williams *both* playing gay men in the same movie. :-)

He's as "powerful" an image as a gay in that as Sean Connery was a straight one in "The Man who would be King".

There's another youtube clip of Captain Picard singing some ABC song (love song at that) to Gene Rodenberry on the bridge set. Complete with hat, cane, and some softshoe.

kshandra adores that film, and especially Patrick Stewart. We watched the last half or so at murphymom's place last night. It's OK, but perhaps I just wasn't in the right mood.

Much of it *is* a bit much.

But I'm sitting thru it for the scenes with Patrick Stewart. :-)

We picked it up after my favorite sequence (where Darius, Sterling's boy-toy, appalls him by asking "Who's Ann Miller?"). And now I'm giggling because Bryan Batt, the fellow who played Darius, really was in CATS.... (IMDB / IBDB)

I was realizing as we watched it last night that Darius and Sterling reminded me of Miss Autumn Frost and his (eventual ex-)husband Walter.... They're both gone, now; I wonder if they saw the movie and noticed the parallels.

Oh, it's fabulous high-camp. I loved it.

(Bryan Batt... drooooooooooooool... and Michael T. Weiss is pure sex on a stick, IMO.)

Well, I keep wanting to kick Jeffrey. He's cute, but the character *really* rubs me the wrong way for some reason.

But Patrick Stewart is reason enough to finish watching it.
