(no subject)
Today has been interesting so far. Had FedEx show up this morning with the final chip for the RAM upgrade on my laptop. It's now maxed out at 512meg.
What made *that* interesting was that I still had my hair in braids and almost forgot to put them up under a hat before going down to answer the door.
Wouldn't *that* have been a surprise for the deliveryman?
A bit ago I went to the store (with the braids stuffed up under the rainbow flamingo baseball cap I got at Pride a few years back).

acelightning and I had come up with (as "over the top" cute> (without mentioning who it was for).
The checker made appropriate gagging noises. But she also went on to mention that she'd just gotten a pink bicycle. And that she was hoping to get a pink helmet for it.
I told her that I was pretty sure she'd be able to find one because at Pride I'd seen...
At which she interrupted. She asked if I was gay, saying she';d just figured out my hat.
I hemmed and hawed a bit then said "Only my boyfriend knows for sure". She took a second to get it. Then she laughed.
I continued what I'd been saying... namely that I'd seen a group at Pride that had managed to get pink *hardhats*. She practically squeed and told me that if I could find one, she'd buy it.
