Orycon stuff

I made myself a promise about the con this year, and I think I kept it.

From the time I left for the hotel until I got home from Orycon the only male clothing I wore was my shoes and socks.

I wore a pair of women's stretch pants Thursday night and Friday morning/afternoon. So I looked "boy".

Friday evening, Saturday morning & afternoon was a nice skirt and a con T-shirt that went well with it. "Gender-fuck mode" as the only other attempt at being feminine was my ponytail being "high" on my head. [livejournal.com profile] mistresscayenne took some pictures. Hopefully I can post them.

I did change back to the stretch pants when we left the hotel for dinner. I won't inflict "gender fuck" on the general public. Also, in that "mode" I'm not able to use most bathrooms without risking trouble.

When we got back to the hotel I changed into the same outfit I'd worn for Halloween. A former SO commented that it was the best I've ever looked. as Brooke.

I think I need to taker back a few of the nasty things I've said over the years about large people wearing spandex. The dress certainly helped with my tuimmy.

Sunday morning it was a skirt and T-shirt (I don't have many tops that go with my *comfortable* skirts, alas) Even went out to breakfast at Denny's in it.

While I was running around before checking out, I ran into someone I hadn't seen in years. Difdn't occur to me until several minutes iunto the conversation that she's never met Brooke before. I wonder if she figured out who I was? :-)

After we checked out, we ate out again at Outback.

One odd thing, even Thursday nighyt and friday morning I caught myself *unconciously* exhibiting "feminine" mannerisms. Things like having my hand on my hip in a certain way (I think it was triggered by the "med pouch" I was carrying which hung like a small purse. :-)

After I changed back this evening I was still doing it sometimers. At one point I caught myself swinging my shoulders *and* my hips. Which is painful if your back has been bothering you!
