odd business names

I've been seeing this one truck a lot recently due to construction going on across the street. No idea what they do, but the truck is white and has black lettering on the side:
ASPLUNDR

This reminds me of a few other "legendary" local businesses:

HARDER
Mechanical Contractors

think "something that contracts" not "someone who does contract work"

PALM
Abrasive
and Tool
Company

INDUSTRIAL CRATERS
A division of O'Neill Transfer, LTD

Asplundr sounds like a mythic country in fantasy novel.

My all-time favorite along those lines is Western Truck Fabrication -- see icon for their logo.

I'm pretty sure Asplundr does something with trees. Like, tree removal and trimming.

Okay, searched for Asplundr. I was thinking of Asplundh, which does indeed do tree stuff. Are you sure you're not also thinking of Asplundh?

I'm reminded of a fictional garage a friend used to draw cartoons about. Don't remember what he named it, but their motto was "A bigger hammer, a longer wrench, a hotter torch. We git 'er done!"
